Workshop: CEREBRO Brainwave Robotics

As part of college fest Aagneya ’20, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, GEC Barton Hill in association with IEEE GECBH SB conducted “CEREBRO” – a brain wave controlled robotics workshop handled by an IIT based company, Anvira Edustation. The workshop which was conducted on February 22 – 23, at DJ Hall, College of Engineering, Trivandrum saw 385 attendees. The aim of the workshop was to introduce the participants to the emerging field of Artificial Intelligence, that deals with the development of Intelligence machines which could mimic our actions.

The sessions ended by developing a bot which could operate by monitoring the brain activities in real time. Usually, robots have been configured to perform tasks by programming them explicitly. Use of brainwave headset impart curiosity and interest in participants. A competition was conducted during the same and the best teams among them were offered free internship opportunities and merit certificates.
